Controller Modbus TCP

When combined with the WAGO I/O System, the Modbus TCP Controller can be utilized as a programmable controller in ETHERNET networks. The controller builds a local process image and finds every connected I/O module. A combination of analog (word-by-word data transfer) and digital (bit-by-bit data transfer) modules may be included in this process image.

The field bus may be wired in a line topology without the need for extra network equipment like switches or hubs thanks to two Ethernet connections and an inbuilt switch. Auto-MDI(X) and auto-negotiation are supported by both interfaces. The DIP switch can be used to allocate IP addresses and configure the final byte of the address.

In Modbus® networks, the controller is intended for fieldbus communication. A large range of common ETHERNET protocols are also supported, including HTTP(S), BootP, DHCP, DNS, SNTP, (S)FTP, and SNMP. An integrated Webserver shows the controller's status data and offers user-configurable choices. The IEC 61131-3 programmable controller has an RTC that is backed by a capacitor and may multitask.
